I would have liked to own a domain name that matched both my surname and my country, that is, a domain associated with the surname Lund and the country Denmark, which uses .dk as its country code top-level domain. However, I was not fast enough to secure that domain and made do with a few other domains.

I own a few top-level domains, such as my company domain www.369.dk. Additionally, I also have some paid and free subdomains.

Then things changed in the world. The US became a less trustworthy country to do business with. Like many others, I wanted to untangle myself, especially from Big Tech in the US. Thus, the desire for my own personal Danish domain resurfaced.

I brainstormed ideas for a domain name. I searched for domain names. I think I even asked AI for suggestions. Finally, I found laguz.dk. It was short, available, and made sense since the first letter in my surname is the letter L and Laguz is the name of the l-rune. So, I bought it.

Other meanings

In the runic alphabets, each rune has its own meaning. The laguz rune, ᛚ, means water and is, as such, the rune of the sea.

I don't know of any additional meaning for the name Lund, but the noun lund means grove or little forest.
